ADCOLE Camshaft Inspection Gage Features Programmable Moving Tailstock
MARLBOROUGH, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/13/12 -- ADCOLE Corporation has introduced an upgraded camshaft inspection gage that permits fast change-over of different length parts and lets operators load and inspect them rapidly.
The ADCOLE Model 1304 Multi-Headed Camshaft Gage provides parts inspection with one minute cycle times, measures 3,600 data points per revolution, and can be loaded automatically by gantry or manually. Featuring four programmable moving heads and a tailstock with 6" travel, this cam tester allows parts access from a touch screen, handles different length parts, and each of the heads can move to a park position for easy access.
Incorporating an accurate headstock spindle with high-resolution glass scale angle encoder systems, the ADCOLE Model 1304 Multi-Headed Camshaft Gage permits on- or off-line programming. Menu-driven, this camshaft inspection machine has dual Windows 7® computers and can measure 20 different parameters including roundness (LSC, MIC, MZC), diameter (LSC, 2-point), profile, taper, crown, timing angle, velocity, acceleration, runout, and concentricity.
The ADCOLE Model 1304 Multi-Headed Camshaft Gage is priced from $395,000.00. Price quotations are provided upon request.
About ADCOLE Corporation
ADCOLE Corporation is global center of expertise for designing and manufacturing the world's highest accuracy machines for measuring camshafts, crankshafts and pistons, as well as digital sun angle sensors for space satellites. No other company can better measure critically important reciprocating engine components or the angle to the sun.
Founded in 1957, Adcole has manufacturing facilities in both Massachusetts and Florida and offices across the world, maintaining close relationships with their customers. The company's success, to a large extent, is based upon responding to their customers' requests for further refinements based upon their real-world experience. Most of these refinements have dealt with the need for higher accuracy and the need to measure more parameters including radius, profile, taper, crown, timing angle, diameter, velocity, acceleration, runout, and roundness and concentricity.
Today, over 500 automobile and supplier companies worldwide employ Adcole computerized inspection gages for quality control checks on camshafts and crankshafts. They include General Motors, Ford, ThyssenKrupp, VW, Chrysler, Toyota, Fiat, Nissan, Renault, Hyundai, Volvo, Suzuki, Caterpillar, Daimler, BMW, Honda, Cummins, FAW, Tata, MAN, John Deere, SAIC, FAW, and Dong Feng.
